What is CanvasAI?
CanvasAI is a browser-based AI image editor and generator built around a visual canvas. Select areas to edit, use reference images, and keep working with new versions in the same Session.
Can I keep editing with follow-up instructions?
Yes. Continue in the same Session with instructions such as “Try a warmer color” or “Make it lighter.” If several images or objects could match, select the intended area or add a reference to make your next instruction clear.
Do I need photo editing experience?
Start by adding an image and describing a change. Selections and reference images help you explain edits visually. Familiar crop, flip, and resize tools handle everyday adjustments without an AI prompt.
Can I edit only part of an image?
A selection guides where the AI should apply your instruction. Results may also change details elsewhere, so review the image before using it.
Is CanvasAI free?
Basic canvas editing does not use credits. AI generation and editing require credits. The proposed plans above are a preview; subscriptions and payments are not available yet.
Do I need my own API key?
No. CanvasAI manages model access. Google, Apple, and email are the planned public sign-in options. The service is currently in private testing.
Are my images and Sessions saved online?
Sessions and their images are saved in this browser, not synced across devices. Clearing browser data can remove them. New generated images have a temporary server copy for seven days. Download important results to keep them.
Are images uploaded when I use AI?
Yes. Images needed for an AI request go to our services and the selected AI provider. Our temporary reference copies become eligible for deletion 24 hours after a task ends. Unfinished tasks may retain them longer; provider retention is separate.
Which formats can I download?
Export PNG, JPEG, or WebP. Set your output dimensions and adjust compression quality for JPEG and WebP.
